ORPHEUS OPERA BRANDING

In 2022, I undertook a branding project for Orpheus Opera, an opera house named after the Greek god of music, Orpheus. Drawing inspiration from the concept of "letting music set you free", I sought to create a classical opera brand with a timeless aesthetic. The project encompassed a range of collateral, including posters, banners, web pages, tickets, and business cards.

LOGO CONCEPT

As a classical opera brand, I felt that a serif typeface would be best suited for our logo. After experimenting with several options, I ultimately settled on Valky due to its refined and sophisticated appearance. Given that the brand name, "Orpheus Opera", includes two "O"s, I researched the design of constructed alphabet O. To me, it resembled a stage where circles and lines intersected and interacted with each other, much like ballet dancers performing on a stage. Inspired by this, I decided to incorporate a blurred "O" into the logo design, along with the Valky typeface.
